Agdistis erscheint in der Inschrift ohne Beinamen. Die Bedeutung dieser neuen Inschrift liegt darin, dass sie den Agdistis-Kult in Termessos zum ersten Mal dokumentiert und zeigt, dass der Tempel N6 in Termessos m\u00f6glicherweise dem Kult der Mutterg\u00f6ttin gewidmet war. In der vorliegenden Studie werden auch die bislang zum Tempel ge\u00e4u\u00dferten unterschiedlichen Ansichten behandelt. In diesem Zusammen\u00adhang werden ebenso die unmittelbar neben dem Tempel N6 gelegenen Heiligt\u00fcmer in die Betrachtung einbezogen. Die Inschrift wurde von Logbasis, der einen anatolischen Personennamen tr\u00e4gt, im Namen seiner Familie gestiftet. Diese Formulierung weist m\u00f6glich\u00aderweise zugleich auf eine kultische Gemeinschaft hin, die auf famili\u00e4ren Bindungen beruhte. Die Pr\u00e4senz der Gro\u00dfen Mutterg\u00f6ttin ist in Termessos bezeugt, wo ihr in griechischer Sprache unter dem Namen Meter verehrt wurde.
