Uzun d\u00f6nemli d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnme ve tarihten pratik dersler \u00e7\u0131karma d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncesinin Antik\u00e7a\u011fdan XIX. y\u00fczy\u0131la kadar izlenebildi\u011fi; bu y\u00fczy\u0131lda ise pek \u00e7ok ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131n\u0131n <em>longue dur\u00e9e<\/em> d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnme bi\u00e7emini daha sistematik bir \u015fekilde kullanmaya ba\u015flad\u0131klar\u0131 belirtilmektedir. Bu nok\u00adtada yazarlar 1968 \u00f6\u011frenci hareketlerinden \u00f6rnekler vererek, o d\u00f6nemdeki baz\u0131 tarih\u00e7ilerin kendi zamanlar\u0131n\u0131n anlam\u0131n\u0131 kavrayabilmek i\u00e7in ge\u00e7mi\u015fi kullanmay\u0131 se\u00e7tiklerini belirtmektedirler.
