Bezdan, T\u00fcrkiye ya da Amerika Birle\u015fik Devletleri\u2019nde ya\u015famlar\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcren ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u00adma\u00adda s\u00f6yle\u015fisi bulunan payda\u015flar\u0131 bizzat ziyaret etmi\u015f ve haz\u0131rlam\u0131\u015f oldu\u011fu sorular\u0131 belirli bir tema \u00e7er\u00e7evesinde kendilerine y\u00f6neltmi\u015ftir. Bu y\u00f6ntemle yay\u0131na haz\u0131rlanm\u0131\u015f kitab\u0131n bas\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilmesi ise <em>T\u00fcrkiye Sualt\u0131 Ar\u00adke\u00adolojisi Vakf\u0131<\/em> taraf\u0131ndan \u00fcstlenilmi\u015ftir. Bass<\/em> (16-53) ile 2014 y\u0131l\u0131nda ger\u00e7ek\u00adle\u015ftirilmi\u015ftir. T\u0131pk\u0131 Romal\u0131 \u00fcnl\u00fc hatip Marcus Tullius Cicero\u2019nun, Halikarnas\u00adsoslu tarih\u00e7i Herodotos\u2019u \u2018<em>tarihin babas\u0131<\/em>\u2019 (<em>pater<\/em> <em>historiae<\/em> [bk. <em>de Legibus<\/em> I. 5 ve ayr\u0131ca bk. <em>de Divinatione<\/em> II. 116]) olarak addetti\u011fi gibi, yine bir ba\u015fka Hali\u00adkar\u00adnassoslu George F. Bass da, bir\u00e7ok bilim insan\u0131 ve ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan \u2018<em>denizcilik arkeolojisinin babas\u0131<\/em>\u2019 olarak kabul g\u00f6rmektedir. Denizcilik arkeolo\u00adji\u00adsi \u00f6zelindeki bu de\u011ferine binaen, \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n George F. Bass ile ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftiri\u00adlen r\u00f6portaj ile ba\u015flat\u0131lmas\u0131 \u00f6nem arz etmektedir. S\u00f6yle\u015fide G. F.
